I really hope Mr. Gear keeps this series going! I would have certainly pre-ordered the next book had it been offered at the completion of The Plains. I always like the viewpoint that is presented in all of the Gear's books regarding Native Americans. The Gears present a storyline that that fills in some of the missing history of North America. True, it is fiction but clearly brings historical research in a riveting and page turning story. Michael Gear's Flight of the Hawk series touches on aspects of US history that would not be told otherwise and immerses oneself in in the wild and open country of not so may years ago. Thanks!!
